"Live" pix from "out there" in the field! This gallery is for photos we have emailed to SmugMug from a cell phone, probably because we are on the road or otherwise "out there" and thus not online. Check back often: hopefully you'll be entertained and perhaps inspired!

adventurecorps > Very strange flowers by Lake Hodges (San Diego County, CA). The camera in my phone doesn't do justice to the coloring and the subtlety of these very unusual flowers. They almost look fake. They also kind of look like something from a wedding decoration. Can anyone tell us what they are?
adventurecorps > Atop Telescope Peak with Panamint Valley and Mt. Whitney behind. Death Valley is in front of us. What a view of Mother Nature's Greatest Sports Arena, and its environs!!!
adventurecorps > Rough Riders Ramble, June 17, 2009: L-R: John, Lawrence, John, Brad, Esteban, and Dustin. Come on, girls: don't leave this awesome weekly ride a men's ride only!!! More info: http://www.XO-1.org
adventurecorps > Palomar Challenge, a timed 12-mile, uphill time trial stage on San Diego County's Mt. Palomar. We started at Lake Henshaw and raced up the mountain from there. Our time was 1:16:39 and were the first place (and only!) tandem! We won a pie from the Julian Pie Company!
adventurecorps > After the hillclimb TT, we also climbed up to the Mt. Palomar Observatory. Amazingly, the sun was out and it was warm, just a few miles away from the wet and chilly fog bank in which we had raced up the mountain.
adventurecorps > North American Hot Rods: After the hillclimb TT, we also climbed up to the Mt. Palomar Observatory where a classic car get-together was getting going. Amazingly, the sun was out and it was warm, just a few miles away from the wet and chilly fog bank in which we had raced up the mountain.
